Description.

Incitement to rape and murder, insults, racism, antisemitism...in cyber space, hate and violence abound. Who are these "trolls" polluting web forums, message boards and twitter feeds? Is the internet to blame for bringing out the worst in people, or is it just holding up a mirror to our hate-filled society? In this documentary we delve into the world of trolls and haters, to better understand a global phenomenon that keeps growing, despite measures put in place that try to protect free speech while curbing hate speech. In Sweden, Morocco and the US, we sit down with the spreaders of hate, as well as network moderators, police officers, politicians, and internet theoreticians like Mike Godwin (of "Godwin's law") to talk about a new public space where anyone can say anything without the filters of traditional media. Do we need to control the web?
